Additional Notes
For Yoga Alliance (YA) teachers; ALL classes are eligible for YA CE’s. Following the retreat, please contact Charles MacInerney at Charles@yogayeacher.com for instructions to apply for the CE’s (click here for more information on CEUs).

The International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) has approved special classes eligible for CE credits. These classes, like all scheduled classes, are open to all participants and are designated by the IAYT CE symbol (click here for more information on CEUs).

Classes with a diamond indicate a strong/challenging practice.  Be prepared to work, and rest anytime you need it.

The Ashram Map is a great tool for finding your way around. Of particular interest is the small lake where we host some classes. It is named for Prem Sarovar near Barsana India and is treasured as an abode of pure love, a supremely blissful lake formed through the loving tears of Sri Radha Krishna. You might hear it referred to as simply “The Lake.”

Satsang means gathering with like-minded, uplifting people, especially those on a spiritual path. You are welcome to visit the Temple during the daily Satsang times. The Ashram requests that shoulders be covered, and yoga pants be covered with a modest length skirt or sarong or by tying a shirt or jacket around the waist before entering the temple. Someone will be in the lobby to greet you and help with any questions you might have. Daily Satsang times are: morning 6:30-7:30 am, and evening 7:30-9:00pm.

Emergency Information

Texas Yoga Retreat registration phones are not staffed 24 hours a day. As such, careful attention is given to provide specific instructions for handling any emergency while a guest is at the retreat. Emergency information is posted in guest bedrooms and inside of each classroom. In the event of an emergency please follow the instructions below.

Call 911 first to report the emergency. If it is safe, please ask a specific person to wait outside the building to watch for and guide emergency personnel directly to the location where they are needed.

Retreat address is:
Radha Madhav Dham
400 Barsana Road
Austin 78737

Immediately after calling 911:
If the emergency occurs between 10PM and 6AM:
Notify Ashram Security (512) 574-8080 so they can open the front gates. Provide your exact location so security can direct emergency services.
For ALL emergencies, and after the emergency has been handled following the above instructions, please notify TYR Staff. Call Megan Sela at (512) 496-2891. Please leave a detailed message if there is no answer.

Finally, before you leave… Thank you for sharing your yoga journey with us – it has been an honor to have you. If you feel open to doing so, please take a moment to fill out our General Retreat Evaluation (found in your retreat folder) and leave it for us in the collection box downstairs in the AYC. We appreciate your kind comments and thoughtful suggestions for next year’s Texas Yoga Retreat. Thank you!
