This perfect retreat weekend starts off with arriving at the ashram and being greeted by our friendly event staff. You will be shown to your guest room (if staying onsite) and given a printed schedule of the weekend’s activities.
There is something for everyone at the Texas Yoga Retreat. Enjoy gentle, restorative classes, meditation, breathwork, and chanting, or rigorous classes that push you to your edges. Some practices are the delicate balance between. The Texas Yoga Retreat is suitable for all levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced / teacher / aspiring teachers. Do as much or as little yoga as you would like; your time is your own and no class, meal, or activity is mandatory.
No need to sign up in advance for classes, just show up. Some classes do tend to get crowded, so arrive a little early to secure your spot.
Besides learning and practicing yoga and meditation, take time to walk the beautiful grounds (over 200 acres), enjoy the delicious chef-prepared food, make new friends, visit the temple, shrines and fountains. We also provide additional for-fee services such as massages and henna tattoos.
Continuing Education Units (CEU’s): The Texas Yoga Retreat qualifies for up to 18 hours of Yoga Alliance continuing education units for yoga teachers who attend. Go here to learn more.
Children – Bringing Children to the Retreat: In our ongoing commitment to provide an exceptional experience for all our guests, and to create a serene and adult-friendly environment that allows our guests to relax and unwind in a tranquil setting, we have set our minimum age for attendance at 16 years (assuming they are mature, able to follow instructions, and motivated to attend).
Please know that this measure is not intended to be exclusive or discriminatory towards families with children. Rather, it is a strategic approach to cater specifically to the preferences of our adult clientele. By excluding children under the age of 16, we aim to foster an ambiance that promotes relaxation, tranquility, and a peaceful atmosphere throughout our premises.
We apologize for any inconvenience this policy may cause to families with younger children and hope that you will consider visiting us when your little ones reach the appropriate age. Thank you for your understanding and support as we work towards maintaining a consistent and exceptional experience for all our valued guests.
Health and Safety: It is our high level goal each year to keep everyone safe and healthy at the retreat. If you have any of the symptoms of covid or flu, even remotely, stay home. If you are already at the ashram, isolate in place and let someone at Registration know. Let’s all do our part to keep everyone in our community healthy by following common sense practices. Wash hands and use hand sanitizer frequently. Cover all coughs and sneezes (into elbow or Kleenex). We suggest that each participant bring an in date Covid testing kit with 2 unused tests. CANCELLATION, POSTPONEMENT and RESCHEDULE POLICY
DEFINITIONS
“Cancellation” is defined as not attending your scheduled event, including postponing or rescheduling.
“Registrant” refers to the guest who is booking a Texas Yoga Retreat.
“Event Management” and “The Living Yoga Program, LLC” refers to Texas Yoga Retreat.
Naturally, no one books an event with the intention of cancelling or postponing, but unexpected things occur. We strongly recommend that all registrants obtain travel cancellation insurance regarding and covering the possible cancellation of any event for any reason, as the Living Yoga Program, LLC (Texas Yoga Retreat) bears no responsibility for such expenses. This is particularly recommended for those who purchase airline, bus, or train tickets. Depending on the policy and conditions, travel cancellation insurance will pay for some or all cancellation fees.
The Living Yoga Program, LLC (Texas Yoga Retreat) is not responsible nor liable for your expenses incurred in preparation for your participation in any cancelled retreat such as airline, bus, or train tickets, loss of work, or any other expenses that you or anyone else incurred in connection with a canceled or postponed event whether by Registrant or by Event Management.
REGISTRANT CANCELLATIONS AND/OR POSTPONEMENTS
There is a $150 charge for all cancellations, postponements, and reschedules initiated by Registrant. This charge will be deducted from refund.
If the Registrant cancels, postpones, or reschedules any time up until 30 days prior to the first day of the event, Registrant will be entitled to a 75% monetary refund of any balance remaining after deducting the $150 charge from total fees paid.
Registrants who cancel with less than 30 days notice will be entitled to a 50% monetary refund of any balance remaining after deducting the $150 charge from total fees paid, OR they are welcome to transfer their fees paid, less the $150 charge, to a friend or family member to attend the event in their place.

No refunds will be issued for late arrivals, unattended events, early termination of attendance, no-shows, accommodations not used, or meals.
EVENT POSTPONEMENT BY EVENT MANAGEMENT
If Event Management is forced to reschedule the Texas Yoga Retreat, whether by the retreat host, by government or agency mandate or recommendation, or our own concern over communicable disease, acts of God, or acts of terrorism, you may transfer your full retreat payment to the next rescheduled Texas Yoga Retreat or Living Yoga Program event. In the event that you are unable to attend a rescheduled event, you are welcome to transfer your fees paid to a friend or family member who can attend the retreat in your place. If this is not possible, you may request a 75% refund of payment. The balance of 25% will be held as a non-refundable deposit, applied towards any future Texas Yoga Retreat, or Living Yoga Program event. In the event that you are unable to attend a future event, your deposit can be transferred to a friend or family member.
