Dr. Kelli Sammis is a retired educator who opened The Bridge Yoga Studio in College Station TX in 2021. Her vision was to create an inclusive yoga space that provides teachings, resources, and experiences toward pathways of unity and harmony, all with the purpose of lessening the impact of the separation and division that seems to be pervasive in our world today.
She shares this idea of unity and oneness from the mat, as well as in her work as a Masters of Wisdom Meditation Guide and certified Ayurvedic coach from the Chopra Center. Kelli is an accomplished E-RYT 500 yoga instructor who began her practice in the late 80s through the path of Karma Yoga, as modeled by Gandhi, the focus of her studies for many years. While she is so very blessed to be able to lead others in Hatha yoga experiences many times a week at The Bridge, the path of yoga that she personally practices every day is Bhakti yoga. She has a dedicated mantra practice that both informs and inspires the asana she shares with her yoga community.

Inviting the Great Teachers to Our Yin Practice
The three most important parts of a Yin practice are TIME, BREATH, and STILLNESS, but when we invite the words and lessons of the great yoga teachers to our class, we take it from being only a physical yoga practice to a practice of Svadhyaya (self-study). Come prepared to release the physical, emotional, and mental tension of the week in order to open yourself up to the amazing lessons you will encounter throughout TYR. We will use lots of props as support for this healing practice.
