Health Protocols

It is our hope that by October 14, 2022, Covid will be in the past, and we will be well on the way to restoring normalcy. If this is the case, we will not be requiring masks, tests, vaccines, or any other precautions, beyond recommending normal common-sense practices for keeping ourselves and others safe.

However, Covid has proven to be unpredictable in the past. So we will continue to keep a close watch on the data around the Covid Pandemic. In the event of a resurgence of the virus in the weeks leading up to the retreat, we may choose (or be forced) to institute Covid protocols, similar to those that we used last year, to help keep everyone safe at the retreat.

When To Stay Home

Stay home if you’re not feeling well or you’ve had close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. Get tested and get well. Please stay home if, within the 14 days before you attend the Retreat, you have tested positive or presumptively positive for COVID-19, experienced any related symptoms or been in direct contact with or in the immediate vicinity of any person who is confirmed or suspected of being infected with COVID-19, even if you do not have symptoms

6 Most Common Covid symptoms

• Headache

• Runny nose

• Sore throat

• Sneezing

• Persistent cough

• Fever

By doing our best to ensure that everyone attending the retreat is at the lowest possible risk of carrying or spreading Covid, our hope is that we can leave Covid behind for a few days and enjoy practicing yoga and each others’ company.

Steps that the Ancient Yoga Center (AYC) at the ashram is taking to help keep everyone safe:

  • Hand sanitizer will be made available throughout the AYC and other buildings
  • Guest accommodations will be thoroughly disinfected between guest stays
  • High touch surfaces are disinfected frequently
  • Sanitization of yoga space, dining areas and restrooms will be performed regularly
  • Meals will be served on eco-friendly disposable tableware
