International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) Continuing Education Units (CEU’s): We are excited to share that the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) is sponsoring our event again this year, as it has for over a decade. Attendees have the opportunity to participate in classes recognized by IAYT for their educational value and relevance to yoga therapy, led by pre-approved IAYT presenters. A number of class hours (clearly marked on the schedule with Rx) will qualify for CEUs for members of the International Association of Yoga Therapists.

Yoga Alliance – Continuing Education: Every three years, YA teachers must complete a minimum of 30 hours of CE’s. A minimum of 10 hours must be contact, but you can use contact hours for all 30 hours if you wish. Below are your instructions for uploading your Continuing Education contact hour credits to the YA website.

On your schedule, be sure and keep track of each workshop you attend during the weekend (Opening & Closing Ceremonies do not count).
After the retreat is over… Log into Yogaalliance.org and Click on “My Training Hours”
Scroll down to “Add Training Hours” and select “Taught by someone who is not a YACEP”
Click on “Some Contact Hours” All of our presenters at the Texas Yoga Retreat qualify for CE’s, so click on “Yes” when asked.
For each presenter that you took a workshop with, you will need to enter their name and title & description of workshop (you can select the presenter from the TYR Website, and then copy and paste information from their bio page and workshop description. If you took more than one workshop from the same presenter, you can combine the information and hours into one entry.
Under Location type in “Texas Yoga Retreat at the Ancient Yoga Center, Austin, Texas”
Then estimate how much time during the workshop was devoted to each category (do not over think this, just your best guess). These times should add up to the total time you were studying with the presenter.
Repeat these steps for each presenter that you study with over three years, or until you have the required 30 hours of CE’s.
